MENTALTRAINING

     Mental training is training for our spirit, for the mental within us (Latin mens, mentis = the spirit). By consciously training our minds, we can achieve things that we don't even dare to dream of at the moment.

 

       Perhaps the easiest way to understand this is to compare it to a top athlete, such as a marathon runner. A world-class runner has decided at some point in his life to improve, train and optimize his running. So he perfected a skill we are all familiar with until he could easily cover long distances at a pace that would be unmanageable for normal consumers. But he still has to continue training his ability. If he doesn't do this, after a while he will be back to the level of a walker.

 

       It's the same with mental training. We all have the basics for this within us, but only through practice and regular training can we make optimal use of our mental resources. Through mental training we learn to bring things and facts that we have not been aware of for a long time back into our consciousness and to take possession of and use this inner treasure again.
